Seeking information on Chorley family 2009-07-20 08:18:15
John Chorley and his daughter, Daisy Chorley were listed on 1911 census. John was employed as a Platelayer with the Railway Dept.  Believe John born Chipstable - is this near Creech St Michael?  Would appreciate any information.  Thank you.

Children start at the primary school in the september after they turn 4 years old. I'm not sure about when the pre school take the children. It is either 2 and a half years old or 3 years old.

Pub in Creech St Michael? 2009-07-14 13:59:43
Is there a pub in Creech St Michael to go to after a walk on the canal?

There is now only one pub in Creech St Michael, the Bell Inn, which is about 100m from the canal.
If you do a search for Pubs in Creech St Michael on The National Pages or click here you will find a map and their phone number.

Creech to Chard Canal 2009-07-06 13:04:12
Somerset Web Services, designers of this website, are writing an article about the former Creech to Chard Canal that crossed the former aqueduct near Hopkins abattoir.
If you have any information about the canal, particularly photos of the aqueduct or lock where it joined the Taunton Bridgwater Canal please let us know.
