Information on Wm Thos Brass Bakery 2010-02-17 14:40:09
Hi I am researching Bakeries in Taunton and I have found a Baker in your village called Wm Thos Brass. All I can find out is that he was in the village from 1928 to 1962. If you can let me know of any information that you have I would be very grateful.

Just an update on my question:
I have found out that The bakery was situated in a place called Holly Cottage.
I don't know if it is still there or not or if this was the Bakery or the owners home?

My ancestor, Thomas House born 1745 at West Monkton was a farmer at Whiteleaze Fernebarrow in Creech. Does anyone know where this is or was?

Contacting Paul & Sandra Forbes-Harper 2010-02-01 10:29:36
This is the nearest I can get to contacting PAUL & SANDRA FORBES-HARPER!!  They may have been the friends that wrote to Bill and Blanche Mangan (my husband John's parents) who lived in Plymouth.  We would love to have contact with them.  Would you please pass this on to them if they are still with your church and ask them to let us know if we are on the right track?
Thank you.  (John and I moved from Kent to Spain in 2007).
Maggie, Spain

The name derives from a creech, or creek, on the River Tone, which creates an island in the river to the south of the village, and the parish church of St. Michael, which dates from the 13th century.
