John Wood 1820? 2010-04-26 12:53:06
My gg granfather John Wood came from Creech about 1820 or possibly 1821 - he was an agric lab and was married to Ann who was 5 years older than him and she was from Beaminster. They had a child Elizabeth about 1839 in Bristol but they went back to Creech where they lived at the 1841 census moving later to Taunton - Elizabeth had my great grandfather Frederick John Wood in 1863 in Taunton but not being married it seems Elizabeth left her parents to bring up the child. I would be glad to learn anything at all about the family. Despite his sad start in life Frederick John Wood became quite successful dying in 1937 in London where he lived and worked (for the Pru)

Hi john,
John & Eliza Trott of 9 Laburnham Terr, Creech St Michael were my Great-great grandparents. I have some more information of the immediate family tree, if you would like to email me I can forward it on to you. I don't know if they were related to Joan Villis however.
Many thanks,
Lee
