I believe that John Mayled was born in Creech St Michael about 1788 2011-11-28 09:36:49
I believe that John Mayled was born in Creech St Michael about 1788.  I think it is unlikely that he is buried in Creech, however I am wondering if perhaps there are records of his( possible) parents / and or their marriage. . . .
Kind Regards

Jackie,

We do have a Mayled burial (Amelia 1885, aged 65, and Thomas 1887 aged 72) in the churchyard. I also have some family details of the name in my records but no John. They are all later than the dates you mention. If they will add to your knowledge let me know.

Our parish church has just started a new website http://www.crtbenefice.org.uk/ and they may have more information than we have.

We did have a previous thread about the Mayled name, here is a link, http://www.creechstmichael.net/aaq/i-am-trying-to-trace-my-family-tree/ perhaps you could post a message to them.

There are lots of avenues for you to explore – I do not want to take the excitement of discovery away from you.

Good Hunting
