I was wondering if there are any allotments in Creech? I moved to the village in December and would be very interested in trying my hand at fruit and veg growing with my family. Many thanks. Sarah Rowe, CSM

Sarah,
In this months (May 2011 issue 121) parish magazine there is an article about registering an interest for allotments, with a form to fill in.
There is also a email address nr.birch@virgin.net to register an interest.
Good Luck

Hi Sarah,
I attended the Parish Council meeting last Monday and the topic of allotments was again raised. Without building up your hopes for an immediate solution I gathered that the councillors were very actively pursuing suitable sites. You will be able to read the minutes for more details. So polish up your spade and get those wellies clean

Sarah,
There are no official allotments allocated in Creech unfortunately. The Parish Council have agreed for two residents to try and find some suitable land which can be turned into allotments. They may have better contacts.
There is an article on the website regarding Landshare which has a website where you can find out what is around locally and who can offer land to grow fruit and veg.
Sorry its not what you are looking for, but we are trying to resolve this issue but it may take some time.

Hello Deborah,
Does your sisters family tree have connections with Creech St Michael? If so is it a paper tree or can it be seen on the internet. I would like to hear more details especially if it of local interest. People are always asking questions about the area so anything that adds to our knowledge would very welcome
