The Deane home launched at Hollinsworth Park (sponsored advert) 2011-10-31 13:25:19

A new addition to one of the area’s most popular developments is set to cause a stir among the region’s homebuyers.

Hollinsworth Park in picturesque Creech St Michael offers an exciting collection of three, four and five bedroom homes. And now visitors to the David Wilson Homes site can take a much closer look at the impressive three bedroom Deane design – thanks to a brand new showhome.

“Hollinsworth Park is a tremendously sought-after development because it offers buyers the very rare opportunity to discover a brand new house right in the midst of beautiful countryside,” said David Wilson Homes sales director, Louise Ware.

“And now there is even more reason to pay us a visit with the launch of this very stylish new showhome – the Deane.”

Priced from £204,950, the spacious three bedroom Deane design is the perfect blend of convenience and comfort. It features a bright and airy, open plan, living and dining room with french doors to the garden. Upstairs there are three well-proportioned bedrooms – with an en suite and dressing area to the master. There is also a good-sized, colour-coordinated, family bathroom.

“The Deane is a great new home with lots of room – making it perfect for those with young families,” said Louise. “This, combined with the wonderful countryside surrounding us here, is sure to prompt a great deal of interest from buyers looking to put down roots at Hollinsworth Park over the coming weeks and months.”

The development is proving popular amongst those seeking traditional, rural, surroundings with the bonus of a modern new home – all within touching distance of local amenities.

Situated in Creech St Michael, surrounded by magnificent countryside, the development is close to all amenities and within walking distance of the popular local primary school.

Ideally located for commuters, Hollinsworth Park is just two miles away from junction 25 of the M5 and only three miles from the county town of Taunton.

“Anyone with a love of the great outdoors will find a tremendous amount to do and see in this beautiful region,” said Louise. “The Bridgwater and Taunton canal runs right through Creech St Michael – providing a highly attractive route through the village for pleasure boats.

“And cyclists and walkers can explore the tow paths to their hearts’ content. This is just a dream location for buyers seeking tranquil and beautiful surroundings. And the splendid homes on offer at Hollinsworth Park are proving irresistible to those wishing to put down roots here in this beautiful part of the country.”

Creech St Michael Parish Council Report October 2011 2011-10-05 11:33:50

Article submitted by Jill Loader, Parish Clerk Creech St Michael Parish Council

The representative from the Civil Contingencies Unit attended the meeting to discuss the possible role of the parish in supplying Emergency Accommodation Centres in view of a large scale evacuation.  Further discussions were required to understand the role in this early planning stage.

Three planning applications were discussed along with an update on those applications which had been approved at District level.

The Recreation Field Working Party were working through their list of issues and works were starting to be completed.  It was hoped an answer from the Charity Commission would be available for the November meeting.

The Police attended the meeting and took away a list of points requiring investigation.  It was reminded that everyone should be vigilant at all times and to report non emergency issues on the new telephone number 101.

The revised Adsborough Bus Stop options were discussed and it was agreed to pursue these along with the neighbouring Parish Council to see if these could be implemented.

Highway issues were raised and would be reported.   The tender document for the maintenance of footpaths was approved, together with the usual finances.

The next Parish Council meeting is on Monday, 7th November at 7pm.

Changes to Creech St Michael Bus Service from 10th October 2011-10-03 13:45:41

Article written by Eric Chown, Web Publicity

In a revised bus timetable being circulated from today, the village is to lose direct through services to Bridgwater, Musgrove Park Hospital and Wellington.

The service will also be reduced to one bus every hour and fifteen minutes.

The service will still be operated by WebberBus who will run the 15A service for two journeys from Bridgwater to Taunton in the morning and two journeys from Taunton to Bridgwater in the evening.

Webberbus will run the six buses on the “27 Route” during the day, to and from Taunton Bus Station to Creech Heathfield at 75 minute intervals.

WebberBus have comfirmed that the changes will take place from Monday 10th October.

It seems that the onward service to Musgrove and Wellington in the morning will be made by changing to the Webberbus 15 service at the Castle Way bus stop in Taunton.

Bus services have an important function in village life allowing those, old and young without transport to get out and enjoy the amenities on offer, enhancing well-being to those that might otherwise feel trapped behind their own front door.

Everyone is welcome and you are invited to bring a special flower which will be brought forward to the altar during the service. There will also be a book of remembrance for names to be written in.
