Please remind members to keep doors and windows closed and locked whenever property is unattended. Similarly it is all too easy to forget to secure sheds, garages, outbuildings and vehicles - a little inconvenience making sure property is secure can dramatically reduce the likelihood of becoming a victim of crime.

MONTHLY UPDATE - May (below figures relate to the East Taunton beat area)

Total calls reported to the Police across the beat – 299

Of those 97 were listed as crimes, including:

8 Assault

2 Assault on Police

2 dwelling burglary (+ 1 attempt)

13 Non dwelling burglary (+ 1 attempt)

7 criminal damage - property

4 criminal damage - vehicles

10 theft from motor vehicles

1 theft of motor vehicle

1 theft of pedal cycles

5 theft from shops

Anti Social Behaviour (ASB) - 18 reports. No ongoing issues.

Beat Surgery - Thursdays at Monkton Heathfield village hall from 10.30-12noon.
