CREECH ST MICHAEL PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of a Meeting held at 7pm on Monday 6th April 2009 in the Lower Committee Room of the Village Hall.

 

Present:  E Webb (Chairperson), R Farrow, A Bishop, K Cooper, S Cooper, R Jeanes, R Rooke, G Lucas, D Durdan, A Birch and Jill Loader (Clerk).  Also in attendance were Cllr K Durdan, SCCllr A Clark, PCSO Lynsey Gamblin & Steve Jackman, David Fothergill, John Hassall and members of the public.


                                                                       
09/235 The Chairperson welcomed everyone to the meeting.
09/236 Apologies: Apologies were received from Cllr Tom Carter and his reason for non-attendance was accepted. 

 

Public speaking time :   K Nation informed the PC the footpath at Langaller was overgrown with growth on the handrail and down the steps.  R Rooke agreed to contact Sam Jones at Rights of Way to resolve this issue.


09/237 Minutes from March Meeting:  The name ‘Curvalion’ was corrected.  It was then proposed, seconded and unanimously agreed that the March minutes be adopted as correct.  The Chairperson signed each page of the minutes.  


09/238 Matters Arising:  The clerk updated the meeting with the following:  Horse droppings in West View – Defra and Highways stated there was no legal requirement for horse riders to clear up the mess.  It was suggested to speak to the riders to see if they could ride another way.  River bridge repairs had been reported.  Quote for drop down kerbs had been sent to TDBC.  Raised bus kerbs request re sent to J Perrett for update.  Clerk to contact Dog wardens again to request a bin by Vets in Hyde Lane.  Clerk to contact Highways/TDBC regarding Curvalion Road’s  over grown vegetation again.


09/239 Chairperson’s Report:   The Chairperson read out a letter from Rights of Way saying the bridge at Ham would be replaced in May/June 09.  It was agreed this letter would be placed in the notice board for information.  Clerk to write to Rights of Way regarding the flimsy orange tape blocking the footpath, which kept breaking away in windy conditions and walkers trying to cross this path by walking along resident’s gardens, causing a health and safety risk.   The new medical centre plans were due to be sent to TDBC this week/next week.
