A G E N D A for the Meeting of Creech St Michael Parish Council to be held at 7.00pm
on Monday, 6th January 2014 in the Lower Committee Room of the Village Hall, Creech St Michael.
(The Public and Press are entitled to attend. There will be an opportunity for the Public to speak before the start of the meeting.)
1. Chairman’s welcome.

3.2 Dispensation Requests. At its meeting on 2nd December 2013 the PC granted a dispensation to all Councillors
in order to enable all Councillors to take part in the discussion on the precept at this meeting.
4. Childrens Centre. Robert Sampson, Strategic Project Manager – 0 to 19 Services, Learning & Achievement at
Somerset County Council will explain the merits of Childrens Centre services and provide an input on the plans for
changes to Children’s Centres across Somerset and what the implications might be for CSM.
5. To receive County & District Councillors’ Reports.

10. Recreation Park (DK,CS,KH,YG) 10.1 Update report on planned Improvement programme, improved signage
and to authorise proposed works to be carried out; the removal of three stumps , to fit the seat purchased (from
proceeds of open day) and fitting of an interior door to the Pavilion (leading into Kitchen/meeting room) at an
estimated price of £580.00. 10.2 TME. (SW) Update on the proposed Lease. 10.3 Adjacent Copse/s. (SW) Update
on the proposal to purchase.
11. Planning. (GH,SH,PC,GH,SW) 11.1 Planning. (GH,SW) To advise on any strategic planning issues. 11.2 Hyde
Lane Developments (SW) To report on the meeting held with Linden Homes 21st Nov 13. 11.3 Application

£80, Creech Cougars Sept pitch hire £80 and Oct pitch hire £120. 12.3 Precept 2014/15. To agree precept (a draft
precept was circulated at the 2nd December meeting). 12.4 Quotations. To consider a proposal that all future
quotations should have works separately itemised. 12.5 Internal Financial Controls. To consider the proposed
IFC’s (circulated separately).
13. Highways 13.1 Updates on A38 Adsborough (DF), North End (DF), Access to Creech St Michael from Monkton
Heathfield (DF), Wessex Water (Ham) Sewerage Works project, (GH/GL/PC), installation of lighting and speed
calming in Hyde Lane as well as defects reported. (GH,GL,PC). 13.2 Report on the meeting held 11-11-13 (GH,GL,
PC) 13.4 Parking in Hyde Lane (between the school and the entrance to the new medical centre) Update.
14. Footpaths and Rights of Way an update on defects. (SH, PC).
15. Merlyn’s Copse (SW,GL) To update on the sale of the Copse.
16. Assets of Community Value. To consider pursuing designation of the Bell PH as an ACV.
17. Potential to devolve TDBC Services.
18. Correspondence. To consider any correspondence received that Cllrs wish to raise.
