A G E N D A for the Meeting of Creech St Michael Parish Council is to be held at 7.00pm on Monday, 1st July 2013 in the Lower Committee Room of the Village Hall, Creech St Michael.

 

(The Public and Press are entitled to attend.  There will be an opportunity for the Public to speak before the start of the meeting.)

 

1.  Chairperson’s welcome.

 

2.   Vacancies on the Parish Council. There is a vacancy. Ten electors are required to submit a request for an election to the TDBC returning officer within 14 days or the CSM PC can co-opt.

9.4 TME. (SW) To report progress on the proposed lease.
9.5 Reinstatement of former site office. Update on PC request to reinstate verge.
9.6 Verge ownership. An update.
9.7 Donation to the Recreation Ground.
9.8 Rec Park protection. (GH/YG). Progress on enhancing protection.  
9.9 Archery (CS). Update on permitting occasional use of using the Rec Park for Archery.

10.1 Planning. (SH) To advise of Cllr Mark Edwards of TDBC response to the PC complaints about the application of that Councils Core Strategy and the working parties letter regarding recent visits.DF to report on the School position on development in Hyde Lane.

11.1 To approve Clerk’s and Caretakers wages, Clerks exp’s £56.10 and other invoices due incl Quality Services Printers (Taunton) Ltd  (CSM Post) £495.70, Brandon Hire (Hire of 4 porta loos for Open day) £216.00, Clare  Sampson (Reimb for cycle rack from ESE Direct) £205.68,  Clare Sampson (Reimb for gate for Park from Bartletts) £196.66, British Gas (Pavilion Electricity) £110.47
11.2 Monies received and banked. Other income received and banked; HMRC (Vat refund for 1/1/13-31/3/13), £38,440.33, Shahs painting and decorating services £25 (Donation towards a memorial bench for the Park). Santander (Bank interest) 59p. Parish Post Advert Income for 2013; Parish Magazine adverts Nat Trust £55.
11.3 Insurance. To consider renewal of the Councils (incl Rec Park) Insurance Policies with Came and Co.
11.4 Audit. Progress report on the Audit of the 2012/13 Accounts
11.5 RFMC Second Bank Account. Clerk to report progress.

 

12. Highways to include updates on A38 Adsborough (DF), North End (DF) Access to Creech St Michael from Monkton Heathfield ( DF), and Wessex Water (Ham) Sewerage Works projects (GL/PC), installation of traffic calming in HydeLane and damaged Fencing at North End as well as defects reported. (CS,GL,KH and DF)

 

13. Footpaths and Rights of Way an update including need for a marker for Footpath T10-21 and the Canal towpath surface. (SH, PC)

 

14. Transport. Use of West View by Taunton Schools Coach.

 

15. Chairpersons Charity. (SW) To consider the introduction of an annual chairpersons appeal.

 

16. Flooding. (PC,GL) Details of the PC bid to the SCC flooding mitigation fund. To consider a further request to bid for Ham Lane/Lane End.

 

17. Website. (CS) An update on the future arrangements for website hosting.

 

18. Merlyn’s Copse (SW, KR. GL) Update on possible sale and maintenance.

 

19. North End (SH) to report repairs undertaken to Noticeboard and the Clerk to report on costs of acquiring a Dogbin.

 

20. Parish Post. (CS) Latest edition has been published.

 

21. Correspondence:- To consider any correspondence received that Cllrs wish to raise.

 

22. New Matters to be carried forward.
